Maia Sandu condemns Russia’s brutal attacks on Ukraine

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, condemned the most recent wave of attacks launched by Russia against Ukraine.
Russia’s overnight assault on Ukraine — over 200 drones, bombs, and strikes on Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv and other regions — is a brutal act of terror.

Injured children. Burning malls. Shattered homes. We condemn these crimes. Putin must be stopped.
"Russia's overnight attack on Ukraine—over 200 drones, bombs, and strikes on Odessa, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, and other regions—is a brutal act of terror. Children injured. Shopping centers set on fire. Houses destroyed. We condemn these crimes. Putin must be stopped," Sandu wrote in a post on X.
Maia Sandu's statement comes amid large-scale airstrikes launched by Russia on several cities in Ukraine. In Odessa, Russian drones caused explosions and fires, injuring at least three people, including a child. A residential building, a shopping center, and several shops were severely damaged, and the power supply was interrupted in some areas.
The attack occurred while the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, was in the city.
In Zaporizhzhia, drones struck residential areas, injuring five people and damaging four buildings. Ukrainian authorities say it is one of the most intense attacks in recent months.
