Ukrainian forces deny Russian claims of ceasefire violation

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have rejected the accusations made by the Russian Ministry of Defense, which asserts that Ukraine violated the ceasefire conditions regarding energy infrastructure.
According to a statement from the Ukrainian General Staff on March 26, these accusations "are false," DW reports.
"The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor state is spreading false and unfounded accusations to prolong the war, continue its deceitful propaganda, and perpetuate typical Russian attempts to deceive the world," the statement emphasized.
The Ukrainian General Staff clarified that from March 25 to 26, the Ukrainian army did not carry out drone attacks on energy infrastructure in the Russian regions of Kursk and Bryansk, nor on the illegally annexed Crimean peninsula.
Ukraine and Russia accuse each other of breaching the ceasefire
Moscow has repeatedly accused Ukraine of breaching recent ceasefire agreements. Specifically, on March 25, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that Ukrainian drones had attacked energy infrastructure in Russia, including a branch of the "Rosseti" company in the Krasnodar region.
On the same day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused the Kremlin of distorting the terms of the ceasefire agreement in the Black Sea and the prohibition on attacking energy infrastructure. "The Russians have already started manipulating. They are attempting to twist the agreements and effectively deceive our mediators and the entire world," Zelensky stated.
According to a statement from the White House on March 25, following negotiations in Riyadh, Washington, Moscow, and Kyiv agreed to develop measures for implementing the agreement prohibiting attacks on energy targets in both Russia and Ukraine. The authorities of both conflicting states have issued similar statements about the ceasefire agreements.
