Beware of fake emails! Moldovan Post warns customers about a new scam attempt

The Moldovan Post Office is warning citizens about a new scam attempt involving sending fake emails (phishing), in which the name of the institution is illegally used. The purpose of these messages is to obtain personal and banking data from users, under deceptive pretexts.

The institution draws attention to the danger of accessing links in these fraudulent messages and urges people not to provide personal or banking data in any way and not to make payments requested through such emails.

If you pay amounts of money on suspicious sites or enter the secret code received from the bank, attackers can gain access to your bank accounts”, informs the Moldovan Post Office.

Representatives of the institution point out that these messages do not come from Moldovan Post Office and urge customers to check the authenticity of any information by calling the Customer Support Service at 1310, at +373 270 044 or by email at informatii@posta.md.
