Nicușor Dan focuses on Moldova during Romania's presidential campaign

The presidential election campaign in Romania for the May 4th elections is ongoing. Some candidates are crossing the Prut River to present their priorities to the electorate.
Following Victor Ponta, Nicușor Dan, the Mayor of Bucharest and an independent candidate, also visited Chișinău. During a press conference, he stated that Moldova remains a key priority for him.
Nicușor Dan, the independent candidate in Romania's presidential elections, emphasized that his priorities also include Moldova, specifically addressing border issues and the process of regaining Romanian citizenship.
"A strong Romania guarantees security for Moldova. A strong Romania means a robust economy, which, in turn, can foster a thriving economy in Moldova. Furthermore, it will finally resolve border issues and the overwhelming bureaucracy involved in regaining Romanian citizenship," said independent candidate Nicușor Dan.
On March 27, it is worth noting that Victor Ponta, also an independent candidate in Romania's presidential elections, visited Moldova. The former Prime Minister participated in the inauguration of the Queen Maria monument in Chișinău.
According to Romania's Central Electoral Bureau, 11 candidates are running in the presidential election. The first round will be held on May 4, and the diaspora will be able to vote starting from May 2.
