Moldovan athletes won two gold medals at the European Kyokushin Karate Cup
Athletes from the Kyokushin Budokan Karate Club in Florești represented the Republic of Moldova at the prestigious competition. Of the 5 Moldovans who competed in the tournament, 2 won gold medals.
Matvei Gustoi and Patricia Lungu climbed to the first step of the award podium. At the same time, the Republic of Moldova was represented at this competition by 3 referees.
500 karate fighters from 12 countries competed at the tournament held in the Latvian town of Salaspils. Representatives of the Republic of Moldova ranked 14th in the overall standings out of 43 teams.
