The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine seek to develop alternative gas supply routes

The Republic of Moldova is considering creating gas reserves by exploiting Ukraine's underground gas deposits. The interest was voiced by Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu during his recent working visit to Kiev. The development of alternative gas supply routes, electricity supply, energy market integration, and the energy security of both nations were among the issues discussed during the talks with his Ukrainian counterpart, Gherman Galushchenko.
