Tiraspol denies presence of fugitive MP Alexandr Nesterovschi in the Transnistrian region

The unrecognized authorities in Tiraspol claim that they do not have information about the presence of convicted MP Alexandr Nesterovschi in the region. The reaction came after the director of the Intelligence and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Musteață, stated that the member of the Parliament was on the left bank of the Nistru, where he arrived with the support of the Russian Embassy in Chisinau.
“We officially inform you that we do not have information regarding the presence of Mr. Nesterovschi on the territory of the Transnistrian region,” said the so-called ministry in Tiraspol.
The SIS statements were previously rejected by the Russian Embassy, which qualified the accusations as “unfounded and unacceptable insinuations.”
In the “La 360 de grade” program on Radio Moldova, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, condemned the involvement of the Russian Federation in the Nesterovschi case. The head of state qualified these actions as “unfriendly” and accused the Kremlin of “interference in the justice of the Republic of Moldova.” Also, experts suggest that he could be extradited only in the case of unofficial cooperation between law enforcement agencies on the right and left banks.
We would like to point out that the director of the SIS, Alexandru Musteață, announced on March 31 that the convicted MP Alexandr Nesterovschi is currently in the Transnistrian region, where he allegedly arrived with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Chișinău. According to him, the operation is part of a hybrid aggression mechanism coordinated by Russia against the Republic of Moldova.
