German Foreign Minister comes to Chisinau on April 2

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is paying an official visit to Chisinau on Wednesday. The two-day visit will include meetings with President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The discussions will focus on Germany's support for the Republic of Moldova, bilateral cooperation and European path of the Republic of Moldova.

The German minister will participate in a joint press conference with Prime Minister Dorin Recean, will visit a vocational school, and will discuss with several mayors from localities in the Republic of Moldova where projects are being implemented for the benefit of local Moldovan communities, reads a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In connection with the official visit of the German Foreign Minister, on Wednesday, April 2, access to certain public places in Chisinau will be temporarily limited, the Chisinau City Hall informs.

Thus, between 08:00 and 22:00, access to certain public places in the city center and the arteries connecting to the Chisinau International Airport will be temporarily limited. The restrictions also apply to meetings, mass demonstrations, road repair works, electrical/thermal networks, water supply/sewerage and tree cutting, within the perimeter of the streets where the official column will travel, informs the City Hall.

Drivers are urged to comply with the requirements of police, to show patience and discipline in traffic.
