Royal visit to Chișinău highlights Moldova-Romania ties

Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu were received at the State Residence in Chișinău by Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
Also present at the meeting were Prime Minister Dorin Recean and his wife, Stela Recean, presidential advisor Inga Grosu, and Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova, Cristian-Leon Țurcanu.
The visit coincides with the Chișinău Economic Forum, taking place on April 7–8 at Digital Park, held under the patronage of the Romanian Royal Family. The forum brings together distinguished figures from the economic, diplomatic, academic, and public sectors. It is set to become a pivotal platform for attracting new investments and reinforcing Moldova’s economic partnerships—particularly with Romania.
In addition to the Romanian Royal Family and Moldova’s national leadership, around 500 guests are expected to attend, including representatives from the diplomatic and business communities of Romania, Poland, Latvia, Italy, and—for the first time—Ukraine.
