Combating corruption in the Republic of Moldova, one of the topics debated at the Munich Security Conference
Fighting corruption in the Republic of Moldova was one of the topics discussed at a round table dedicated to the experience of different states and international organizations in fighting corruption. At the event, which took place in Munich, the head of state, Maia Sandu, called for closer cooperation between the investigative and legal bodies of different European states.
On the first day of the Munich Security Conference, the head of state also discussed with Frans Timmermans, the executive vice-president of the European Commission, about what is being done for the Republic of Moldova to secure its energy sector, including by switching to green energy. In this context, Maia Sandu expressed her gratitude for the support of European partners who helped our country to diversify its energy sources. Also on the first day of this event, the president met with Svenja Schulze, Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, and with a group of MPs from the CDU/CSU governing coalition in the German Legislative.
