Group of priests blessed the Easter pastries of a producer from Chisinau

On the eve of Easter, the products from one of the largest bakery enterprises, which will reach Moldovans' holiday meals, were blessed. Easter cakes or panettone are just some of the delicacies that can be purchased in stores. According to bakery representatives, the prices of the products were increased.

Easter cakes and panettone were blessed on the eve of the Easter holidays. The products will reach stores across the country, where people will purchase them for the Easter meal.
The products were blessed by a group of priests led by Metropolitan Vladimir.

An Easter cake can be bought for at least 60 lei, while a panettone costs 200 lei, depending on the weight and assortment. Representatives of the bakery enterprise admit that this year, the products have become more expensive.
"There were some increases, resulting from the economic situation. The prices were just adjusted to the economic expenses that the company bears", says the head of the marketing department, Gabriela Tătăruş.

The consecration of Easter cakes is a long-standing tradition. Metropolitan Vladimir announced that this year, too, the Holy Fire will be brought for Easter.
“For the 23rd year, on Easter Saturday, we bring from the Holy Land, from Jerusalem, the Holy Fire that is lit at the tomb of the Savior,” Metropolitan Vladimir said.
