The first arrests in the context of the announced protest: the Police, repeatedly call for a peaceful meeting, without violence and provocations
Six young people with suspicious behavior, from a sports institution were taken to the Police Inspectorate for documentation. The General Police Inspectorate says that a knife was found on one of them, even though, previously, the law enforcement officers requested that the participants in the meeting not have prohibited objects with them.
In the context, the lawmen came with a repeated call for a peaceful assembly, without acts of violence and provocations. "We will intervene in every situation where there is a risk to the lives of citizens or public order," announces the IGP. We remind that a protest would take place in the center of the capital with the participation of supporters of the "Movement for the People", which includes several activists and politicians, including the "Shor" Party and the "Home Building Europe" Party. During the rally, the sympathizers of the two formations would ask the Government to fully pay the citizens' bills for the months of December-February. In a reaction, the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, declared that the Russian Federation is counting on "corrupt and vulnerable politicians" in the Republic of Moldova, and all the planned actions are orchestrated. The official warned people to protest peacefully and assured that, in case of destabilization, law enforcement will be ready to intervene promptly.
