Kyiv's reaction key to Russia Easter truce

The Russian Federation is to halt all military operations starting Saturday, April 19, until midnight on April 21.
This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting at the Kremlin with the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
"For humanitarian reasons, today, from 6:00 PM, until midnight between Sunday and Monday, the Russian side declares an Easter truce. I order all military actions to be stopped during this period," the Russian president stated, as cited by Tass.
Furthermore, Vladimir Putin mentioned that: "The reaction to the Easter truce will show the sincerity of Kyiv's willingness and capacity to participate in peace negotiations."
President Putin also emphasized that "Russian troops must be prepared for potential violations of the truce by Kyiv. They must be ready to repel any enemy provocations or aggressive actions."
Ukraine has not yet commented on the Russian president's statement.
The war in Ukraine, launched by Russia on February 24, 2022, has caused thousands of casualties and massive destruction, severely affecting regional security and economic stability in Eastern Europe. Since the start of the invasion, Moldova has received the largest number of Ukrainian refugees per capita in Europe. During this period, the refugees have benefited from social, medical, and educational assistance, as well as access to employment.
