Moldovan weightlifter Erighina wins 3 golds at home

Moldovan weightlifter Elena Erighina delivered a career-best performance, doing it on home soil. At Arena Chișinău, she won 3 gold medals in the up to 81 kg weight category competition.

Erighina lifted 106 kg in the snatch. She then dominated the clean and jerk, with a best lift of 136 kg. For a total, Elena triumphed with 242 kg. She finished 4 kg ahead of Belgium's Ilike Lagrou, the European silver medalist, and 5 kg ahead of Poland's Weronika Zielinska.
