President Maia Sandu's Easter message: Pray for peace and face the future with hope

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, shared today a message of congratulations on the Easter holidays. The head of state conveyed wishes of hope, light, and unity, reminding us that Easter is the celebration that teaches us that goodness and truth prevail, no matter how long or difficult the journey may be.
"Every spring, nature wordlessly tells us that life goes on — trees bloom once again, grass rises from the cold ground, everything comes back to life. In the same way, Easter brings us the same lesson year after year — that after suffering comes healing, and light triumphs over darkness," said the president.
In her message, the president also spoke about the importance of preserving spiritual heritage, evoking the image of the church in the village of Nișcani, which is set to be renovated "so that future generations can also see it as a place of comfort and a link to our roots."
"Today, Moldova is being reborn — with every step we take toward a fairer, more united country; with every old church we preserve; with every family that stays at home; with every village that comes to life, we regain hope," Maia Sandu added.
The head of state urged citizens that, on this festive day when we greet each other with the Easter greeting “Christ is Risen,” we should look to the future with confidence and pray for peace, health, and tranquillity in our homes and throughout the country.
"Let us get closer to one another, listen to each other, forgive, and walk together on the path of goodness. I wish you a bright Easter, with hearts full of joy, surrounded by your loved ones. Christ is Risen!" concluded President Maia Sandu.
