Several Moldovan MPs are on a documentary visit to the NATO Headquarters

A group of deputies is, these days, on a documentary visit to the Headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (OTAN/NATO) in Brussels. The Parliament's delegation is led by the vice-president of the Legal, Appointments and Immunities Commission, Veronica Roșca, and its composition includes deputies, members of several parliamentary committees.

According to a press release issued by the Parliament, the parliamentarians are informed about the perspectives of the NATO partnership with various countries, including the Republic of Moldova. Other topics discussed covered NATO's assistance in strengthening resilience to security and defense risks and threats; ways to counter disinformation and propaganda, etc.

Deputy Veronica Roșca, the head of the delegation, mentioned that the information visit will contribute to a better understanding of the processes of reforming the defense and security sector, necessary in the process of drafting amendments to the legislation. At the same time, the deputy reported that the visit is part of the parliamentary control mission over the implementation of defense, security and foreign policy policies of the Republic of Moldova.
