Man dies in accident in Ialoveni
A 67-year-old man died last night in Ialoveni after being struck by a car while crossing the street illegally. According to the General Police Inspectorate, the incident occurred along the Ialoveni-Chisinau route, and the vehicle was driven by an 18-year-old man.
After the impact, the man died at the scene. The driver, who has a valid driving license, was tested with a Drager device, which showed no signs of alcohol consumption.
The young man was detained for 72 hours while law enforcement officers conducted an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident.
