Larisa Miculet appointed presidential adviser for relationship with citizens

Larisa Miculeț was appointed as the President's Advisor for Relations with Citizens. President Maia Sandu signed the decree on May 2, 2025, and the appointment is effective May 5.

According to a press release issued by the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova, the new presidential advisor for relations with citizens, Larisa Miculeț, has extensive experience in public administration, diplomacy and the legal system.

The newly appointed advisor for citizen relations posted a message on social media expressing her gratitude for the trust placed in her.

She stated that while the Republic of Moldova has legal mechanisms in place to protect the rights and interests of citizens, particularly those who are vulnerable, there is a need for more active involvement in these processes at the national level. With a background in law and experience in the public sector, the advisor emphasized her commitment to consistently supporting citizens both within the country and in the diaspora.

“I have been close to ordinary people, understanding their needs and concerns, and whenever necessary, I have sought to offer them support within the limits of my competence,” she added.

According to presidential advisor Igor Zaharov, who spoke with Teleradio-Moldova, a new position was recently established to enhance communication between the Presidency and citizens.

Zaharov explained that the purpose of this position is to better understand the people's needs, address their suggestions and concerns, and help find quicker and more effective solutions.

Previously, Larisa Miculeț served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ireland and worked in diplomatic missions in Israel and at the United Nations. She has held leadership roles in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and in the Prosecutor General's Office, where she worked for over 25 years.

Larisa Miculeț holds a law degree and completed advanced training programs in the USA and Germany. She holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador.
