Diplomatic tour: Mihai Popșoi visits Denmark, Luxembourg, Estonia and Latvia

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, is undertaking a diplomatic tour from May 12 to May 20, 2025. He will visit four European countries: Denmark, Luxembourg, Estonia, and Latvia. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the purpose of these visits is to strengthen bilateral relations, promote Moldova's European integration, and participate in high-level international forums.
In Denmark from 12 to 13 May, Moldovan official Mihai Popșoi will meet with Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and members of the Danish Parliament. During this time, he will also participate in the Copenhagen Democracy Summit, where he is scheduled to deliver a speech at a panel and meet with members of the Moldovan diaspora in the Kingdom.
On 14 May, Minister Popșoi will attend the 134th Ministerial Session of the Council of Europe in Luxembourg, where support for Ukraine will be discussed and the new Convention on the Protection of the Legal Profession will be launched. On the sidelines of this meeting, the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister will meet with Belgian Minister Maxime Prévot and participate in a trilateral meeting with officials from Moldova, Monaco, and Montenegro, in the context of taking over the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
From 16 to 18 May, Mihai Popșoi will be in Tallinn, Estonia, where he will talk with his counterpart Margus Tsahkna and several officials from the Estonian Parliament. He will also participate in the prestigious Lennart Meri Conference, speaking on a panel devoted to European security in the context of a new world order.
The diplomatic tour will conclude in Latvia from 19 to 20 May, where the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister will meet with Foreign Minister Baiba Braže and Latvian parliamentarians and hold a joint press conference. The program will also include a meeting with Latvia's Minister of Transport, Atis Švinka.
