Adopted Resolution: Vote in Chisinau to start the EU accession negotiations of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine by the end of the year
The parliamentarians "Euronest" voted, at the Chisinau Parliamentary Assembly, a resolution asking for the European Commission and the EU Council to take the necessary steps to start the accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine until the end of 2023. The announcement was made by MEP Siegfried Mureșan.
The MEP mentions that the text of the resolution is also required to integrate the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in the European single market before the end of the accession negotiations. At the same time, the MEP says that it is strategically important to establish clear terms for the conclusion of the accession negotiations with the candidates until the end of the current decade. The "Euronest" Parliamentary Assembly consists of members of the European Parliament and parliamentarians from Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. We recall that the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova is hosting, these days, for the first time, the session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. Thus, around 100 officials from the Eastern Partnership countries and members of the European Parliament participate in the 10th session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.
