Crete 6.3M quake felt as far as Egypt
A 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck off the Greek island of Crete on Wednesday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) announced.
According to the GFZ, the quake occurred at a depth of 83 km, Reuters reported.
The earthquake was also felt in Egypt, where the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics reported no casualties or damage.
The Egyptian institute stated it recorded a 6.4 magnitude quake located 431 km off Egypt's northern coast.
