Regarding the approach of the Republic of Moldova regarding the Transnistrian settlement, the MAEIE declares that Chisinau remains firmly attached to a process of peaceful settlement of the conflict.

"We will continue to demand the withdrawal of Russian military forces from the territory of the Republic of Moldova according to the commitments", said the press officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Filip Cojocaru.

It should be noted that Russia is officially changing its foreign policy strategy. It comes after the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, today cancelled his 2012 decree on the priorities of the Russian Federation, just hours after he addressed the Federal Assembly. The document referred to Russia's relations with the European Union and the United States, with the Commonwealth of Independent States, but also with the Republic of Moldova. Therefore, the provision regarding the solution of the Transnistrian problem respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova was cancelled.
