Maia Sandu: We thank Japan for the assistance given to the Republic of Moldova
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, met on Saturday, on the sidelines of her visit to Tokyo, with the head of Japanese diplomacy, Yoshimasa Hayashi. The dialogue focused on bilateral cooperation and the advancement of the Moldovan-Japanese partnership.
The head of state thanked the Japanese government for the assistance given to our country, in several key areas, through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and emphasized that we want, in the future, close relations with the Japanese side.
President Maia Sandu mentioned, in this context, that Japan can help us strengthen our democracy through a stronger and more diverse economy, create more jobs and provide better living conditions for our citizens.
