Maia Sandu to Nicușor Dan after inauguration: "On our shared history, we build the future together"

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, sent a congratulatory message to the newly inaugurated President of Romania, Nicușor Dan.

"Good luck, Nicușor Dan!" Sandu wrote on the X platform, expressing her hope for close cooperation between the two countries.

"Building our future together on the foundation of a shared history involves projects that provide tangible benefits to our citizens and a strong commitment to European values," the head of state said.

We remind you that the elected President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, took the oath in the joint plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, in a solemn session.

Nicușor-Daniel Dan won the presidential elections in Romania, obtaining 53.60% of the valid votes cast.

He was voted for by 6,168,696 citizens, obtaining an advantage of over 829 thousand votes over his opponent, George-Nicolae Simion, who got 5,338,999 votes, representing 46.4%.

Firecrackers and firecracker batteries are completely banned in the Republic of Moldova.
