Igor Grosu confirms that Serebrian and Kulminski could become ambassadors to Turkey and the US

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu confirmed that Oleg Serebrian and Vladislav Kulminski are being considered for ambassadorial positions in Turkey and the United States. Additionally, Grosu indicated that Prime Minister Dorin Recean will soon propose a new Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration.

"It is confirmed, but it is a minor detail related to those who rushed to make the announcement. First, the agenda needed to be approved in the relevant committee before it could be disclosed. There was nothing unusual about the process; the proper procedures simply needed to be followed without haste. The Prime Minister will present a proposal soon, and I believe it will be a strong one," Igor Grosu stated during the show "Cabinetul din umbra" on Jurnal TV.

Oleg Serebrian and Vladislav Kulminski are potential ambassadors to Turkey and the U.S.

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian may be appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Turkey. Additionally, former Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Kulminski could become the country's Ambassador to the United States. However, the authorities have not yet confirmed this information.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with representatives from the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Policy and European Integration, has not confirmed recent reports regarding the potential appointment of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian to the embassy in Turkey and former Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Kulminski to the embassy in the United States.

Ina Coșeru, the chairwoman of the relevant parliamentary committee, stated that the candidates for the ambassadorial positions in Turkey and the United States will be reviewed at a committee meeting scheduled for tomorrow morning. However, she did not confirm that Serebrian and Kulminski are among those being considered.

Teleradio-Moldova contacted Vladislav Kulminski for comments, but he declined to provide any. Oleg Serebrian did not respond.

We remind you that from 2010 to 2022, Oleg Serebrian represented the Republic of Moldova in the embassies in France and Germany. In contrast, Vladislav Kulminski worked as a political expert at the U.S. and British embassies in Moldova.
