Serious accident in Chisinau: 63-year-old woman fatally struck by trolleybus on Decebal Blvd.
A 63-year-old woman died after being struck by a trolleybus on Decebal Boulevard in the Botanica sector of Chisinau. According to the police, the accident occurred around 12:45 p.m.
The police have preliminarily determined that a trolleybus, driven by a 23-year-old man, struck a woman who was crossing the street illegally. As a result of the collision, the 63-year-old victim died at the scene, according to law enforcement officials.
In a message posted on social media, Regia Transport Electric (RTEC) stated that the driver involved in the accident had no prior recorded misconduct or violations at work. The company also expressed its condolences to the victim's family.
A criminal case was initiated to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
