Graduation exams begin. Maia Sandu to graduates: "Your work will pay off – believe in yourself."

Today marks the start of the secondary school graduation exams for ninth-graders. The first test will assess students in Romanian and world history. In total, students will take four exams. The next exam is scheduled for June 5 and will focus on mathematics. This will be followed by the language of instruction exam on June 9. Finally, the exam for Romanian language and literature, intended for students studying in a foreign language, will take place on June 12.

President Maia Sandu encouraged students beginning their middle school and high school graduation exams. The head of state wished them success and urged them to have confidence in their abilities.

Dear graduates, you are starting a period full of emotions. I wish you great success and the ability to focus on your exams! I am confident that your hard work will pay off – you just need to trust yourselves, Maia Sandu stated.

According to the Ministry of Education, around 32,000 students are expected to take part in the upcoming exam session. Exam papers will be evaluated at four national assessment centers from June 2 to June 22. Preliminary results will be available in educational institutions on June 23.
