European Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jørgensen visits Chișinău
European Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen, is scheduled to visit the Republic of Moldova for a working trip on Thursday, June 5. During his visit, he will meet with Prime Minister Dorin Recean to discuss important topics related to Moldova's European integration and the enhancement of cooperation in the energy sector.
Dan Jørgensen will visit a vulnerable household that is benefiting from energy efficiency renovations supported by European programs. These initiatives aim to reduce heating costs and electricity consumption for low-income families.
On Thursday, the Commissioner will also participate in the sixth high-level meeting of the Moldova-European Union Energy Dialogue. This dialogue serves as a strategic framework for cooperation, alignment of policies, and development of joint projects in the energy sector.
A joint press conference with the Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghietu, is scheduled for 14:15.
