Traffic restrictions in the center of Chisinau in connection with Eugen Doga's funeral

Road traffic will be temporarily restricted on Thursday, June 5, in several streets in the center of Chisinau due to the funeral of composer Eugen Doga. According to a statement from the City Hall, these restrictions will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. During this time, traffic will be redirected to adjacent routes.
In the morning, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, the section of Alexandru Pușkin Street between București Street and Veronica Micle Street will be closed to traffic.
After 1:00 PM, the funeral procession will proceed to the Central Cemetery in Chișinău, causing traffic disruptions on Alexandru Pușkin Street between Veronica Micle Street and Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard. Traffic will also be halted on Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard between Alexandru Pușkin Street and Vasile Alecsandri Street.
Additionally, Vasile Alecsandri Street will be closed to traffic in two sections: between Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard and Alexei Mateevici Street, and between Vasile Alecsandri Street and Armenească Street, all the way to the Central Cemetery.
City Hall urges drivers to remain patient, respect the police's instructions, and, whenever possible, choose alternative routes.
As a reminder, renowned composer Eugen Doga passed away on June 3 at the age of 88. He will be buried on Thursday, June 5, at the Central Cemetery on Armenească Street.
