The Commission for European Integration of the Parliaments of Romania and the Republic of Moldova will hold its work in Chisinau
The 11th Meeting of the Joint Commission for European Integration (CCIE) between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Parliament of Romania (CCIE) will take place in Chisinau. Its agenda was discussed at a meeting attended by CCIE co-presidents, Petru Frunze and Andrei Daniel Gheorghe, as well as members of the Commission from the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, a resolution is to be adopted, which aims at the collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, as well as the European integration process of our country and the initiation of negotiations with the EU, according to the Legislative's press release. Also, CCIE members will go to the territory to visit projects implemented with the support of Romanian partners. The meeting will take place between March 27 and 28. Discussions with representatives of the Government and central public authorities will also be included on the agenda. The co-chairman of the joint Commission for European integration between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Parliament of Romania, Andrei Daniel Gheorghe, had a meeting with the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu. The officials discussed the projects initiated with the support of the Romanian partners. "We propose that they be carried out for the benefit of the citizens on both banks of the Prut. And here we referred to the Ungheni-Ungheni, Leova-Bumbata bridges, the coordinated control at the Leușeni-Albita state border crossing point", mentioned the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu. The last meeting of the Commission took place in April 2022 in Bucharest. The deputies from the Republic of Moldova and Romania adopted a Resolution of political support for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union.
