Romania and Moldova expand education ties via joint access to EduLib digital platform

Romania and the Republic of Moldova are enhancing their collaboration in education and research. The EduLib platform, which offers digital educational resources and lessons for middle school students, will now be accessible to Moldovan students. Romania's Minister of Education, Daniel David, made this announcement during a joint conference held in Chisinau with his Moldovan counterpart, Dan Perciun.
Today, we discussed in more technical terms how we can ensure that, starting from the new school year, the EduliB library—available at the ministry level and containing educational content and practical lessons for middle school students—will be accessible to children in the Republic of Moldova. This will be possible if both the students and teachers choose to use these educational resources as a complement to what they already have. I believe this is a significant step that can contribute to the development of education," said Daniel David.
The Minister of Education and Research in Chisinau, Dan Perciun, welcomed the initiative and emphasized its benefits for the educational system in the Republic of Moldova.
"Indeed, this will be a special opportunity for us. We can ensure access for teachers and students in our country to digital content that is also offered to Romanian students. The availability of this content presents a challenge for us since we do not have similar resources yet. Therefore, having them available on Romanian platforms will be an important step forward," noted Dan Perciun.
Dan Perciun also expressed gratitude to the Romanian state for its ongoing support to the Republic of Moldova in education and research. He highlighted several initiatives, such as the purchase of school buses, the organization of training programs for teachers, summer camps for students, and the development of joint research projects financially supported by Romania. He emphasized that Romania plays a crucial role in supporting Moldova's European integration.
"We have greatly benefited from our joint research projects. We have already launched two calls for proposals with the support of the Romanian state, which we co-finance, and these initiatives benefit hundreds of researchers from both countries. We also hope for continued support for implementing other joint projects funded by the generous allocation of 100 million euros from Romania to the Republic of Moldova," added Perciun.
In this context, the Romanian official expressed his desire to expand partnerships in the coming years, particularly by launching a new call for joint projects in the scientific field.
We remind you that the EduLib platform is a digital library developed by the Ministry of Education of Romania. It offers video lessons, interactive materials, and educational resources for middle school students. The content is free and structured according to the national curriculum.
