Romanian President Nicușor Dan visits Chișinău on Tuesday

Romanian President Nicușor Dan is set to make his first official visit to the Republic of Moldova on Tuesday, June 10. He will be welcomed by the head of state, Maia Sandu, during an official ceremony at 1:40 p.m. at the Presidency.

"This visit reaffirms the deep and special nature of the bilateral relations between our countries, founded on historical, cultural, and linguistic ties. It also demonstrates our shared commitment to strengthening and expanding cooperation for the benefit of citizens on both sides of the Prut," states the press release from the Presidency.

Following the meeting, the two presidents will hold a joint press conference at 3:10 p.m.

Throughout the day, the President of Romania will meet with Igor Grosu, the Parliament Speaker, and Prime Minister Dorin Recean at the State Residence.

The official visit will conclude with Nicușor Dan and Maia Sandu participating in the event titled "The Common European Future of Romania and the Republic of Moldova," which will take place at the Organ Hall in Chișinău.
