Parcel deliveries to Israel are suspended

The Moldovan Post announced the temporary suspension of the acceptance of postal items destined for Israel, effective Tuesday, June 17. This decision is due to the halt in air traffic and other transportation services to this destination.

Moldovan Post announced it will provide more information about the resumption of service through its official pages.

We remind you that the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel announced the temporary suspension of its consular services due to the current security situation in the region. The consular section will only provide emergency assistance during this time. The diplomatic mission will issue travel documents and address exceptional cases only, as Israel's airspace remains closed indefinitely.

Last week marked a significant escalation in the Israel-Iran conflict, with major implications for regional security. Beginning on June 13, Israel conducted a series of airstrikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities, including targets in Tehran and Esfahan. These attacks resulted in the deaths of top officials and the destruction of critical infrastructure. In retaliation, Iran launched approximately 250 missiles and drones at Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, leading to dozens of casualties and over 500 injuries.

In light of the situation, Chisinau has urged Moldovan citizens to leave Israel. Many Moldovans have reached out for information regarding evacuation options.
