On June 23, the Republic of Moldova celebrates Independence Day. The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) will hold a rally in front of the Parliament building. This event will take place on the same day as a march organized by the country's leadership. Igor Dodon, the leader of PSRM, announced this on Saturday.

On Sovereignty Day, the PSRM is organizing a large rally in front of Parliament. Several thousand people are expected to gather at 1:00 p.m. I invite everyone, including representatives from other parties, to come and express our stance on the current situation in the Republic of Moldova. We believe that the country's sovereignty is at risk," Igor Dodon stated on Facebook.

We remind you that on Monday, June 23, President Maia Sandu will lead the Sovereignty March. The country's leadership is encouraging citizens to attend this event, which will start at 7:00 p.m. at the monument dedicated to the great performers, Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici, in Chisinau.

According to the Presidency, singers Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici and Simona will entertain the crowd at the monument with songs from the national revival.

Afterward, the march participants will proceed to the Presidency, where President Maia Sandu and Ion Hadârcă, the president of the "Parlamentul '90" Public Association, will deliver speeches. They will be joined by singers Vali Boghean, Simona, and Radu Dolgan and the band Noroc.

People are encouraged to come dressed in traditional clothing or shirts to celebrate the evening of June 23 and the day of IA ( traditional national blouse), which is celebrated on June 24.
