The Russian president accuses NATO of involvement in the conflict in Ukraine by supplying weapons
Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) of participating in the conflict in Ukraine by supplying weapons to Kiev's forces, reports AFP.
"They (including NATO countries) send weapons worth tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine. This is really participation," Putin said in an interview with the Rossia-1 channel, broadcast on Sunday. Recently, NATO announced that it will support Ukraine as long as it is needed. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed satisfaction with Ukraine's progress, including regaining territory, and said the alliance would provide Kiev with jamming systems to render Russian and Iranian kamikaze drones useless. According to him, NATO will continue to deliver even more ammunition and military equipment, but also aid for the protection of civilians and infrastructure. Russia has launched an invasion of Ukraine, the first such aggression in Europe since World War II on Friday, February 24, one year since its beginning.
