Tragedy on the Băcioi–Horești road: cyclist dies after being hit by a car
A 32-year-old man tragically lost his life in a serious road accident on the road connecting the commune of Băcioi to the village of Horești. The tragedy occurred at noon on June 24.
According to preliminary information from the police, the victim was riding a bicycle when she allegedly made an irregular U-turn. At that moment, she was struck by a car driven by a 51-year-old woman.
Following the impact, the cyclist sustained serious injuries and, unfortunately, died shortly thereafter.
The driver was tested with a Dräger device, and the results showed that she had not consumed any alcohol. The police continue their investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
