Accident in Cahul district: two dead
Two people lost their lives in a road accident this morning near the village of Colibași in the Cahul district. The vehicle the victims were in crashed into a tree.
The police preliminarily determined that a 57-year-old driver, a resident of the village of Colibași, lost control of his vehicle while travelling on the road near the town. He had a 51-year-old woman as a passenger. The car crashed into a tree.
Both the driver and the passenger died at the scene before the arrival of the ambulance, according to law enforcement officials.
Investigators are working to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
