Over 100 craftsmen showcase their work in Soroca

Soroca hosted the National Fair of Craftsmen "La Nistru la Mărgioară". Over a hundred craftsmen from across the country and abroad gathered near the fortress to showcase their handicrafts. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase a variety of unique items that caught their eye.
The event began with the Folk Craft Parade, where artisans showcased their finest creations, ranging from objects made of vegetable fibres to those crafted from ceramics, glass, and wood.
"I primarily work in the fields, but at the suggestion of the leaders, I want to hold a masterclass for children, and I can see they are interested."
"I make handicrafts from wood that are used in the kitchen. Some of my works are made from tough materials like oak, cherry, and ash."
"We brought leather and fur items such as hats, coats and belts."
Folk craftsmen from various regions along the Prut River were also present at the event:
"This year, we have more folk craftsmen participating. Over one hundred artisans joined us, accompanied by guests from Botoșani and Iași counties. We also wanted artisans from Iampol in Ukraine to be here," said Grigore Bucătaru, the head of the Culture Department in Soroca.
Now in its 13th edition, the event aims to promote folk crafts.
