Chișinău high school admissions start July 14
High schools in Chișinău will launch their admissions process next week, structured in two phases.
Initially, middle school graduates will submit their applications online through the platform escoala.chisinau.md, according to Andrei Pavaloi, Deputy Head of the General Directorate for Education, Youth and Sports (DGETS).
"The admissions process for high schools will begin on July 14 and unfold in two phases. The first stage runs from July 14 to August 2 and includes two internal stages: from July 14 to 23, applicants must submit their documents online; from July 24 to 26, applications will be reviewed and grades averaged to determine the final list of admitted students," Pavaloi explained during a regular coordination meeting at Chișinău City Hall.
The results will be announced on July 27.
The second admission stage will run from August 4 to 13.
"Applications will be accepted on the platform from August 4 to 7," Pavaloi added. This year, DGETS plans to enroll 5,360 students across 216 classes—114 more spots than last year.
According to Chișinău City Hall, on the first day of admissions last year, 2,110 applications were filed through the same platform.
