Citizens are encouraged to take part in activities for a national public awareness campaign focused on preventing breast and colorectal cancer, emphasizing early detection through iFOB testing.

This initiative is supported by the country's National Health Insurance Company (CNAM).

The campaign runs until the end of July in the districts of Cimișlia, Căușeni, Cantemir, Cahul, Soroca, Ungheni, Chișinău, and Orhei. Its main goal is to inform, increase awareness, and mobilize the population to participate in cancer screenings.

According to CNAM, planned activities include training medical staff, distributing informational materials, and disseminating prevention messages through various media channels.

The first events took place in the towns of Edineț and Bălți, where over 100 medical professionals from the northern part of the country were trained in applying national clinical protocols and using modern diagnostic methods. Medical staff were also educated on effective communication techniques with the public, aimed at increasing participation in preventive testing.

CNAM reminds the public that prevention and early diagnosis services are offered free of charge within the mandatory health insurance system. The campaign has a budget of 502 thousand lei, funded by CNAM's prevention measures fund and organized in partnership with the Oncology Institute.
