Blaze in an apartment in Chisinau; six crews on scene
An apartment in a nine-story building was engulfed in flames, prompting a response from six fire crews, according to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies.
A fire broke out Monday morning, July 14, on the balcony of an upper-floor apartment in a block of flats on Moscova Boulevard, in the Râșcani sector of Chisinau.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies (IGSU), the emergency call was received at 08:21. Firefighters located the blaze at 08:35 and fully extinguished it by 08:58.
During the intervention, crews discovered that several material goods were burning inside the room and on the balcony. All residents evacuated the building in time, and no casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and will be determined by specialized authorities.
