Parliamentary election period for September 28 is now underway
The electoral period for the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28 begins today, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced. It will conclude once the Constitutional Court confirms the election results, according to the CEC.
During this period, lower-level electoral bodies will be established, and candidates for the position of Member of Parliament will be nominated and registered.
CEC will also organize training for electoral officials, conduct voter information campaigns, update electoral rolls, and prepare ballot paper templates and other election materials.
According to the CEC's Calendar Program, candidate nomination and registration will begin on July 20, while the official electoral campaign starts on August 29, 2025.
