Ministry of Defense denies claims of “Moldovan soldiers dead in Ukraine”

The Ministry of Defense denied reports on certain Telegram and TikTok channels associated with pro-Russian groups. These reports claim that ten soldiers and officers from the National Army were in Ukraine, and that four of them were killed in an attack by Russian forces.

"This narrative is clearly a falsehood, intentionally spread to induce panic, undermine trust in state leadership, and create confusion in a pre-electoral context," states the institution's press release.

The source cited confirms that no soldier from the National Army is engaged in military actions outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

Authorities urge the public to rely only on official and credible sources and to avoid sharing manipulative materials that spread misinformation, as such actions can jeopardize national security and social cohesion.
