Meteorologists issue yellow alert for heavy rain nationwide
The State Hydrometeorological Service issued a yellow code for heavy rains for the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova on Thursday, July 17. The warning comes into effect at 9:00 p.m. and will be valid until Friday morning, at 10:00 a.m.
Meteorologists predict heavy rainfall throughout the night, with water accumulation expected to range from 15 to 45 liters per square meter. This may be accompanied by lightning and wind gusts reaching speeds of 15 to 18 meters per second in some areas.
The Hydrometeorological Service will update the warning and map as the development of these weather phenomena progresses.
