The State Hydrometeorological Service has issued a hydrographic warning about rising water levels in the Prut River.

The warning is effective from July 19th to 22nd. In low-lying areas, the water may overflow into adjacent floodplains, potentially inundating agricultural lands in the northern part of the country, specifically in the Briceni and Edineț districts.

"Due to the hydrometeorological situation involving heavy rainfall in the upper reaches of the Prut River, between July 19th and 22nd, the water level in the Criva village - Costești town section will continue to rise. The total rise will be 1.60-3.00 meters compared to the July 18th level," specialists warn.

In this context, the State Hydrometeorological Service urges the public to remain vigilant.
