Ramona Verman wins gold at European Athletics U23 Championships
Ramona Elena Verman from Romania made headlines at the European Athletics U23 Championships in Bergen, Norway. She secured the gold medal in the long jump with a distance of 6 meters and 60 centimeters.
Despite qualifying for the final with a sixth-place result, the 21-year-old athlete made a remarkable impression and ultimately emerged as the continental champion. The silver medal was awarded to German athlete Samira Attermeyer, while the bronze went to Norwegian competitor Ida Breigan.
The Romanian team concluded the continental competition with two gold medals, with Alexia Ioana Dospin winning the other gold in the triple jump event.
