The Republic of Moldova wins first medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival

The Republic of Moldova has won its first medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Climentii Ursu earned gold in the 10-meter air pistol event.
Ursu defeated Serbian athlete Uros Gajic, who won the silver medal, and Italian Loris Quarta, who took home the bronze. At the 18th Summer Edition of the European Youth Olympic Festival, the Republic of Moldova is represented by 23 athletes competing in eight different disciplines.
