Military personnel in the Transnistrian region reportedly held exercises with live fire on aerial targets last night.

Several images capturing these drills were posted on social media. However, media outlets in the Transnistrian region published no information about these exercises. Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Roman Roșca, stated he would look into the matter.

Meanwhile, Mariana Sarî, a senior consultant at the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, noted that the actions took place outside the Security Zone, and the constitutional authorities were not informed about these drills.

Alexandru Flenchea, former Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, characterized the actions as illegal, emphasizing that the core issue is the illegal presence of foreign military personnel on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

It's worth noting that on June 12, similar military exercises were carried out, organized by the unrecognized structures in Tiraspol and the illegally stationed Russian Operational Group of Forces on the country's territory.

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu declared at the time that these represent a provocation and an attempt to divert attention from other serious issues facing the Transnistrian region.
