Exception: Wheat and barley trucks allowed unrestricted road access during harvest

During the harvest campaign, trucks transporting agricultural crops from Group I, such as wheat, barley, or rapeseed, and weighing over 12 tons can circulate without restrictions on public roads in the Republic of Moldova.
According to a joint order from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the transportation of agricultural products from farms is permitted, even in extreme temperature conditions.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry states, "Farmers can transport their harvested products without restrictions throughout the day, as long as they comply with road safety regulations."
However, other heavy-duty vehicles are prohibited from using the roads in the Republic of Moldova between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM during orange and red heatwave alerts. This measure is in place to protect road infrastructure and prevent accidents.
Exceptions to these restrictions include the transportation of people, perishable goods, medical equipment, emergency interventions, live animals, and fuel distribution.
