La Seceriș Festival: Celebrating Moldova's harvest & heritage

Traditional music, delicious food, and ancestral customs—all converged in the joyful ambiance of the third annual "La Seceriș" festival in Cîrnățeni village, Căușeni district.
The event was a heartfelt tribute to all farmers who dedicate themselves year-round to ensure a bountiful harvest.
The event commenced with a parade of agricultural machinery historically used for fieldwork.
Over 30 folk ensembles from various regions of the country ignited the festive atmosphere.

"We're from Leușeni commune, Hîncești district, and we came to the festival organized here today in Cîrnățeni to showcase our Hîncești traditions."
"We're from Tănătarii Noi village, right here in Căușeni district. We came with great joy to this beautiful celebration. We'll have fun, dance, sing, and revel!"
Traditional artisans were also present at the festival.
"I make clay musical instruments—ocarinas and little bird whistles for children. I brought ocarinas of different tones and sizes."

"The blouse was embroidered by me during the pandemic. I can't even believe how fast I embroidered it. The entire costume is mine from home."
People gathered to honor the farmers and express their respect for Moldovan traditions.
"The atmosphere is electrifying, even though the outdoor heat is giving us a hard time. Even though it's the beginning of the festival, the atmosphere is already festive."
"I was last here as a child. I decided to come today to rekindle my memories. The work of our agricultural workers must be promoted."

"It's a spiritual tribute. Everything here is consecrated and dedicated to the farmers. Besides promoting beauty and our national traditions, we also express our gratitude to the farmers for the work they've done throughout the year," declared organizer Mihaela Rastrașanu.
In the evening, the festival continued with an artistic program featuring performers Igor Cuciuc, Anișoara Dabija, and the Orchestra of the "Joc" National Dance Ensemble.
